About

Nancy Pix of Me.JPG

David G. Lang

I grew up in Michigan and have lived in Rochester, NY; Cleveland, OH; and currently reside in West Hartford, CT with my wife (and Harriet!). I hold a degree in commercial art from Ferris State University and a degree in photography from Lansing Community College. Throughout my studies in the seventies and early eighties, I became attracted to experimenting in alternative methods with film and paper using selenium split toning, hand coloring, infrared film and shooting with a plastic “Diana Camera.” Six years ago, I began using my iPhone solely and iPhone Apps for editing. This current technology makes it possible for me to impulsively respond to an image no matter where I am or what I’m doing. What inspires me is the immediate and intuitive response to light, design, and subject. My current interest is in the natural world.  I believe it's irrelevant what equipment or method is used; the final results are what’s important.
